Legendbringer Fanart: Lyrabon Characters Study

Celebrating Pride Month...a little late but this took more time than I was expecting.
With my favourite Lesbian Pony Pairing (I don't think even Hasbro are denying it anymore), Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie 'Bonbon' Drops.

(Clockwise)

(Left) Hard Times
Bonbon makes ends meet however she can. But never has that been harder than now.
The reign of Grand Ruler is hell for the Equestrians as they are forbidden from rising higher than the Unicornicopians and yet despised and humiliated for such a fact, deemed 'inferior' and 'pathetic'. by those who could never understand the true value of inner strength and the magic of friendship.
Like many in Ponyville and Canterlot, Lyra and Bonbon are persecuted Lyra's bizarre hobbies in human-studies and for their sexuality. Deeming their love 'disgusting' and 'unnatural', several Space Ponies make their lives miserable.
Bonbon holds out hope that such times will pass and Equestria will be rulers of their own land once again but as Celesto grows ever more tyrannical, such hope grows more distant by the day.

(Top-Left) Battle-Bard
For those she loves, Lyra is willing to sacrifice all she has, even her own life. While not a trained warrior, it is this that gains the attention of Luna's Umbra Circle. Going into battle utilising her musical skills in highly effective sound magic, she ploughs through both Grand Ruler and Conquest's armies alike.

(Top-Right) Settling Old Scores
On their way to prevent the firing of the Serpentari, Lyra encounters Rocky Road, one of Starfleet's lieutenants, who assaulted Bonbon and used his position to arrest Lyra when she intervened.
Drawing a pair of lyre-hilted katars for 'emergencies', Lyra aims to pay him back.
Pressing on, however, she is waylaid by Hot Shot who shares Starfleet's prejudice. At the turn of battle, Lyra's Element of Protection is awakened and she unleashes the full force of her magic at her foes.

(Right) Called To The Front
Lyra has a duty. To the Princesses, to the Bearers, to Equestria and to her dearest love.
A duty to make life better for everypony she knows. A duty to undo the damage Grand Ruler and his Space Ponies have done to the world they love. A duty to thwart Conquest and his horde in their tracks.
And it is a duty she will carry out.
Returning with more injuries dealt upon her in fights with her oppressors, Lyra is contacted by Princess Luna to begin preparations for her resistance operations.
Tearfully bidding farewell to her marefriend, Lyra leaves Ponyville and steps into a world of danger she used to feel protected from.

(Bottom-Right) Smooch Of Victory
When Grand Ruler is ousted, Conquest and the Necromancer are eradicated and harmony restored to Equestria, Lyra and Bonbon finally reunite and set about making up for lost time, at last allowed to call each other 'wife' again.
As Equestria celebrates, the couple kiss passionately and don't give a hoot who sees it.

(Bottom) Marry Me, Bonny
The end of a war, the downfall of a tyrant, the prevention of the apocalypse and the ascension of another six elements seemed like a good a time as any for Lyra Heartstrings to try her luck.
On a clement day, at their favourite café, she and Bonbon sit down and talk as they often do.
Then Lyra pulls out the ring.
Bonbon needs no hesitation in accepting Lyra's proposal and the two's life thereafter is made all the more magical.

(Bottom-Right) What She's Been Missing
At the Beach Party that practically all Equestria engages in, the two engage in some antics of their own.
Among the many things Lyra has missed during her time undercover was her girlfriend's 'big butt and tiny swimsuit'.
She sets about showing how much she missed it to Bonbon's alarm (But not necessarily her discomfort)

Happy Pride Month, People!

The Katars are the only weapons I felt I could add a lyre symbol to but they came out well. Along with his spear, I gave Rocky Road a hammer that looks rather like a meat tenderizer.
He's a mean one.
